How to Activate Xfinity Internet Services

Through Xfinity, you can connect all your smart devices in your home like lights, thermostats, etc. and operate them seamlessly via xfinity.com/authorize. Follow the below steps to activate Xfinity services via xfinity.com/authorize. 

  • First, turn on your Router or Gateway.
  • Wait for the Gateway to connect and be ready. It might take up to 10 minutes.
  • Establish a temporary internet connection via Wi-Fi.
  • Now, look for the Network Name (SSID) and password printed on the side, back, or bottom of your Gateway or modem. 
  • Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your Wi-Fi-enabled device and select the Xfinity Network Name from the list of available networks. 
  • Enter the password when prompted. 
  • To register a PIN instead of a password, click the “Connect Using a Security Key” section to insert the password in the Security Key box when prompts.
  • You can now activate Your Gateway or Modem by going to xfinity.com/authorize.
  • Now, launch the browser on your computer and go to xfinity.com/authorize.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the activation. 
  • You will require your account information if you haven’t set up a username & a password. 
  • Connect to Your Home Network now.
  • After the activation process, connect your devices to your Wi-Fi name and password for your home network, if your Gateway or modem supports a wireless connection. 

You can now control all your Xfinity-supported devices like lights, thermostats, audio devices, etc. through your Xfinity.
